Yes, We Can Do that!

 How much do you charge?

We only require a one (1) hour minimum at a flat rate of $25.00 during our regular business hours (Monday – Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). After the first hour, Betties bill their time in 15-minute increments, and billing begins when a Betty arrives at your home or office or at the location of the first errand on your list

 

 Do you charge for mileage?

Our flat rate includes the first ten (10) miles per day per client. After the first 10 miles, there is a charge of $0.55 per mile which, if applicable, will be billed on your weekly invoice.

 

 What areas do you work in?

Currently, our Betties are available to help throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.

 

 Can I meet you before I hire you?

Yes! We actually prefer to meet all of our clients before we start to work for you. We can answer any questions and talk about your needs in more detail and just get a feel for who you are so we can match you up with the perfect Betty more accurately. Also, we will set up multiple interviews for you where you can meet a few Betties that we think would be a great fit. Whatever works for you!

 

 What is your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice. Notification may be done via e-mail or telephone. If notification is not received, you will be charged a $25 cancellation fee.

 

 Are your Betties insured and background-checked?

Yes, we screen, interview, background-check, and insure all of our Betties and require each of them to sign a comprehensive confidentiality agreement

 

 How do I get a Betty?

If you are interested in becoming a client of Run Around Betties, give us a call at 818.981.3398 or send an e-mail to betty@runaroundbetties.com. You will receive a phone call within 24 hours. If you decide that you want to use our services, you will then be asked to sign our standard client agreement.

 

 If I use your service, do I have to make a commitment or become a member?

No! Just the one-hour minimum. Some clients use a Betty on a one-time basis for immediate tasks and errands. Some clients only require a Betty on an occasional basis and are fine with a different Betty each time. Others have a Betty dedicated to them who works for them on a regular daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

 

 What if an errand goes longer than planned or goes after 8pm?

It happens. The Apple store is really crowded or it’s National Go To The Post Office day. In the case that your Betty is out checking things off your list and thinks she might go past the agreed time or into over – time, she will call and ask you if you would like her to complete the errands. It will be your call whether to incur an overtime charge or to roll errands over to another day.

 

 How do I pay for my Betty?

Run Around Betties accepts Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and checks. You will be invoiced on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (as you prefer) via email for services rendered during the previous week, and payment is due within five (5) days. Payment can be made easily online, and your invoice will include a link to where payments can be made. If you prefer to pay by check, we can arrange for those to be picked up for your convenience.

 

 What if I need my Betty to buy groceries or pay other vendors?

If your errands will require your Betty to make payments to vendors (for example,, buying groceries, picking up dry cleaning, going to the post office, etc.), you have the option of providing your Betty with cash in advance or having Run Around Betties advance the costs and bill them back to you, subject to payment of a 5% convenience fee on your weekly invoice and a cap of $150 per day.

 

 Can I have the same Betty dedicated to me?

Of course! One of our goals is to match each Betty to each client based on needs, skills, and personality. We want you to wonder how you ever managed it all before you got your Betty.

 

 What if I need a Betty in fewer than 24 hours?

“I need a Betty NOW!” Is a sentence we hear often. If we have a suitable Betty available, we are happy to accommodate you as quickly as possible. Bookings make on holidays or on an emergency basis (less than four (4) hours’ notice) will be charged at $45/hour. Please note that if you have a regular Betty, your Betty does not work on an on-call basis. You will still need to schedule time with her.

 

 How do I become a Betty?

We are a growing company and are accepting applications. All applicants, male and female, are welcome to apply and considered equally. Please e-mail us your resume, photo, and a brief biography to betty@runaroundbetties.com, and we will respond only to those we wish to interview. No phone calls, please.

 

 To what holidays does the $45 rate apply?

It applies on federally recognized national holidays such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, July 4th, etc. Other holidays that people observe personally such as Yom Kippur, Epiphany, Cinco de Mayo, etc. are standard rates.
